Re: Are there any excercises for arms getting ahead of body?

I would suggest you reread my previous advice.

Your hip/core body rotation stops (or never starts), your hands race ahead to get to the ball....your previous symptom from the first post. Now you’ve wasted a bunch of time getting "connected" to this incomplete rotation. Still the rotation stops at the ball and now your arms must also stop to stay "connected". Unfortunately, the clubhead is no where near the ball. You are forced to flip the wrists to get the clubhead ahead of the arms and to the ball.

The good news is that you are out of parts to race ahead to the ball. Fix your rotation through the ball and connection will magically appear and you can start to trust that your rotation will get the FLW to the ball. See Greg Willis’ "wall drill" and RHD, and Jeff’s article.

I freely admit that without seeing anything, I might be wrong. But unless you have a really, really good swing, with some respectable distances, your rotation almost inevitably could stand improvement anyway. IMO, proper rotation, in proper sequence, is one of the single biggest differences between good swings and average swings. It is at the root of so many other faults.

Got some progress here now. Thanks to everyone. It seemed my problem was more closing the face than rotation and connection etc. Although, hopefully I have improved all of that.

        Miffin,

To get the proper swing sequence, step on the right foot to start the backswing and step on the left foot to start the downsing.
