There is simply no way that the S&T pivot can compete with a 'perfect pivot' on distance. It may temporarily improve iron contact as a golfer gets more on top of the plane and strikes the ball first, but in the long run it promotes too many other problems.
As far the tour pros that 'use s&t', their pivots look nothing like what Bennett and Plummer teach.
