    Re: Backswing Too Quick

Try to think that you are gradually accelerating throughout your entire swing...Michael Breed says this all the time on the golf fix im sure there are some youtube videos of him explaining it, but this should help you slow your backswing down.

After grooving your swing w range balls, you will certainly find your own speed and preference whether fast or slow, eh? Find what works for you.. try half swings first then 3/4 swings to get into the rhythm.

Medicus Will NOT cure your swing!

believe me BrianW I have tried... it must be nerves or something.

Thanks Greg - i have tried the counting, which works on the range sometimes, but doesn't seem to engrain for course play.

I have not tried the medicus but I will have a look into that now.

        Again Thanks for the replies.
You mentioned the Medicus club as a training tool... I've tried it and the only thing I got was a bad blood blister when I caught my finger in the hinge. It trains you to only swing on one plane - which it claims is the "correct" one... unfortunately, most golfers have a natural swing which simply doesn't work with the Medicus. Many great golfers have unusual swings - if they used the Medicus they would fail. Better to follow what comes naturally to you and improve on that.

I have a 2-pane swing, and the Medicus works great. You must be doing something else.
