divide the swing into two phases
the initiation of the backswing to the end of the back swing - phase 1
the start of the downswing to contact phase 2
the book states (the author I forget his name ) that phase 1 is 3x the length of phase 2 in all good swings. swings speeds may vary but this ratio is a constant. Apparently he has documented this on tour swings and has developed a school around this philosopy. The book is called "Tour tempo" . I have read threads on this web site re: this book sometime back. didn't mean to get off the original intent of the thread, but when you mention rhythm was mentioned, i thought this theory was applicable.
