First of all I'd like to say that I've enjoyed lurking on the forum taking things in. This is my first post..
Any one tried it out (double overlap grip) ??
Been really struggling with getting on-plane in the backswing until I was messing about down the range and stumbled upon the double overlap grip - basically top two fingers on right hand overlapping bottom two on left - i'm right handed.
It seemed to unify my hands on the backswing and I can (or so it seems to my untrained eye) get back on a far better plane ( i had/still have a tendency to let the right had roll the club far too far inside).
Also stumbled upon an article by Leadbetter who is advocating this grip (or so it seems - mind you he's also advocated every other grip at one time or other). And the octopus that is Jim Furyk uses a double overlap grip on tour - apparently is allows him to maintain wrist angle/ lag into the ball.

So swing experts:
Will I run into problems down the line ?
Is there anything I really need to be doing in other parts of my swing ?
At the minute I seem to be making good solid contact - bad shot is still a push to the right though
Cheers
