I have long been confused about what role the wrists played in the golf swing. After taking a look at Greg's drill I have a question or two. Greg mentions "take the club back to 1/2 way with the shoulder turn and allow the wrists to rise "UP" only (remember #1 - up and down is okay). The club shaft is pointing up in the air and the left arm is parallel to the ground." With the exception of the driver and fairway woods, would you recommend setting everything this early in the swing? I feel like I have no idea when/if my wrists set on the backswing, but do create 'lag' on the downswing. Seems much easier to have the wrists already set and naturally uncock just before impact. Am I headed in the right direction here?
