Hello to all, I am a new member.
My question is: I am a 14 (there about) handicap and recently hurt my left wrist (over-extended caused by building a shed), anyway, my normal grip is the standard overlap (I am right handed). It hurt to swing this way so I was trying different grips. I noticed my putting grip did not hurt it (reverse overlap) with the thumbs side by side and the left index over my right little finger. I swung my 8 iron this way and did not feel the golf ball contact....dead center on club face and about 10 yards longer (145 yds)!
My old swing would always contact between the center and toe of the club face and I could feel the hit. All of my clubs are following suit. Has anyone tried this grip with a full swing? It feels very unorthodoxed to me and has me puzzled?
