The thing I notice is the check is a LOT more consistent. If I really need to get it UP AND STOP then I just open the clubface a bit more and aim a little left and just swing the same. The compression as you call it has been phenomenol as this is the biggest thing I have noticed. Even better I have noticed this really seems to work in semi snaggy rough. I can just kind of "explode" the ball out like a sand shot but with out the full swing.
