on the subject of the release(uncocking wrist)....is the wrist supposed to remain cocked until the last possible moment during the downswing? it seems when i do this i hit a good solid shot. if i uncock it too early i take a huge divit and make poor contact.

Yes, this would be the last action to the ball.

That is exactly what I've started doing Ian. Stopped thinking so much and started feeling. And I must say it feels good. And getting good progressive results.

          Hi,

I had to change my grip a little. Fingers are the same way, but the pressure is on my left hands 1. and 2. finger and right hands 5. and 4. finger. (A had to change the grip, because my hands started to hurt in the evenings. I have been playing about 7 hours every day.)

New grip gives the club a free swing. It's difficult to manipulate the club and that is good. Shots are good, if the general motion is good. Good movement makes good shots and release and cross over takes care of them self.

I do think of cupping my right wrist. It makes my set up start hands in front of the ball and also helps me to hit the ball down - and gives time for my hip to rotate.
