Re-read his post. He stated his walking group was keeping up with the group ahead of them. No reason to let the lazy ones on the cart play through. Here in the U.S. we have too many people riding golf carts. Most of them desperately need to be walking to get back in to shape.

As to the original question, the problem with power kaddys is the weight of the battery. If you have to take the cart in and out of your vehicle watch out for lower back problems.

My beef is when you have a 4-some of walkers and the 4 some behind driving carts sits on your tail the whole round.

Last week we walked and we were keeping up with the group ahead of us. So there was no way to go faster. But the group behind would rush up as quickly as possible and sit there lurking while we took our shots. On the 16th they actually shot as we were leaving the green. Balls were dropping 10 ft behind me.

I understand it's frustrating to have to hang back all the time, but I think it's very bad form to make dangerous plays. What if their shot was bladed etc and the shot hit someone?

Anyone remember that funny scene in the movie "Sideways"?
I AM still walking, it's only a motorised trolley not a driving buggy.

Absolutely, IF there was somewhere for them to go! However, we were keeping up with the group ahead, so there was no point to let them play through.

All I'm saying is, instead of getting steamed up and being rude, people should just relax. I know it is frustrating when your round of golf takes 5 hours because the group ahead is spending a lot of time searching for errant drives!

I'm sick of carrying my bag now!
              Hi,

Powakaddy make the best powered trolleys, the quality is first class and the battery lasts for 36 holes.

Sometimes we'll leave our biggest guy on the tee box to inform the 4some behind that we're being held up by the group in front. He then usually adds that we may be slow on this hole - because he had to wait and talk to them.

In my second year, I had a very, very bad 'habit' of hitting into groups that I thought were holding up my group. I've stopped that since an incident where I couldn't see the group in front of the 'offending' group - holding us both up. I felt horrible - and bought double rounds for the group in front of me.
