    Thanks Shootin,

My pleasure, I think this kind of discussion is great, keeps the grey matter working and although often branches out into other threads gives thought for further discussion and understanding.

I hear what youre saying Neil but I have my own views on Hogans swing. Yes he was probably was the greatest ball striker for a while there but what he says he does in 5 fundamentals and what he actually did were very different. He had setup, alignment and grip compensations to stop his hook for example and all this has been done to death elsewhere for sure

Plus he was a certain size and build and perhaps his swing wouldnt work best for me (im 6'1)..perhaps a leverage swing where I can take advantage of my height is the way I need to go

Your digging it out the dirt analogy is right on. I have tried holding onto the angles and I can hit the ball well... sometimes I do for a while but I just cant maintain it for long. I have found through many hours of practice that I cant fight my last lower body move and I should learn to play with it rather than against it because its actually a good thing if I learn to release my angles earlier .. works for me .. but I agree with you that it might not be a panacea for everyone hence why Leadbetters insistence on his way being right is nonsense

Brian, you are spot on with the sternum. That to me is the 'core' I keep talking about. I feel that is the point which I shift and turn and I have become really aware of it and where my clubhead is in relation to that point. Your head goes where your core takes it and I try and get my sternum over the instep of my right foot whilst making sure my right hip goes behind me. This feels an un-natural move at first but once you get the hang of that and monitor your forearm rotation then I think youve made a perfect pivot

being technical, he is six inches past impact in his impact pic. look how bent those are in the frame before. and in the frame that is about waste high past impact that is a straight right arm, it was not that way in the 6 inch past impact frame. If you moved those positions to right at impact he will be more bent with both of those

No, lets not get so technical that we lose track of our tempo, rhythm, fundamentals and swing path/plane. You guys slay me with your anal/obsessive over analyzed approach to the game/swing.
Who among you actually shoots under 90? Who among you actually competes on a level where you are shooting 1 or lower? Who among you has a game that you would bet $10,000 on in Vegas?
              Answer? Not one of you
Therefore, lets agree that you basically do not know what you are doing and that you are probably 16 or 17 and still living at home.
You guys are wasting my time.
For God's sake, get a game then come back and try to tell the rest of us what you have found.
              Yours truly,
