    Re: Dominant Body Part

Great replies, fellas. Yeah, I guess that it's generally better not to have a swing thought... but if your game is in trouble, a good swing thought might come in handy.

OK. When your game is in trouble concentrate on the takeaway. Once someone has a fair and repeatable swing and starts producing errors it can more often than not be due to a fault like rolling the wrists in the takeaway.

Great insight, BrianW. I was just thinking about that issue of wrist rolling on the driving range today. Thanks.

The takeaway is at the top of my thoughts these days. I have the idea that when the clubhead starts back everything goes back in unison with it. I want the arms to be firmly connected to and maintaining the same relationship with the rest of my body as I turn back. It has helped. I really have a problem with letting my arms/hands outracing my shoulders/torso when I turn back and lag/lead and impact. Now I just have to work on a bigger turn as I get a little short on it.

As for the topic, I can't see focusing on a singe body part. You consider all your body parts on the set up to get aligned properly then forget about them.
