  • Finding the lost swing????

Recently had a dip in form. Seem to have lost the (for the most part) free-flowing effortless swing I had a couple of weeks ago. I have been through this before and have a plan of sorts to hit the range and "let go". By this I mean that I am somehow getting in my own way through swing thoughts or negative thoughts during the swing. I also tend to work on checking things like my grip, alignment, stance and ball position have not changed from when I was free-flowing.

In a nutshell I just need to get my confidence in my swing back and I will be back to hitting fairways and gunning for sub 90 (the promised land for me).

Any of you lose your swing lately? And what did you do to get back on track? I am just curious to see what it was that helped you as perhaps it may help me.

    Cheers

    It happens to us all.

Apart from going back to the basics you mention the problem for me is often rhythm, tempo, timing whatever you want to call it - see Brian's advice to me in this thread on the same subject (it's there somewhere) ...

.... I find the best way to get back on track is to visit the practice area when you have all the time in the world, preferably when its empty, when you're not expecting a call from the wife / partner / boss / revenue etc and try NOT to think of swing keys, tips, and solutions but just put some shots out there.
