I am new to golf at 53. Been playing 5 weeks and things seem to be going ok until I woke this moring with a sore left pinky, and played golf 2 days before. While opening the closed fist my pinky sticks then opens. Is this trigger finger. Also I am using my dads 45 year old wilson staff clubs. Please advise.

Re: Left pinky
For those that may have read my post, it turns out that my orthopedic doctor said trigger finger was not a golf injury. It is when the finger will not open on its own after making a fist. He injected my pinky with cortisone and said I could golf in a few days.

Re: Left pinky
Hi, I have the same problem but with both of my pinky's. Also new to the great game of golf at 37. After going to the driving range every second day I think I over exerted myself and brought on the same problem...now typing without my pinky's! So, can I ask you of this problem went away without any further treatment, as it has been over a week for me now....I live in Australia where medical is free and I don't like wasting tax payers money getting unnecessary medical check ups. Any way it will make a great story when sitting around with friends talking about battle wounds...poor little pinky's. Thanks, ClintonOriginally posted by jtanen2 View PostI am new to golf at 53.
