    Re: Boomerang Putting Aid

Yeah I've got a real good feel for the speed now and get really upset at myself if it takes me two or more tries to lag it in.

I think I'll hit 15 sometime but it won't be when I'm taping with my luck.

38 in and outs in 100 putts
      BA of 2.63

Love putting with this thing, translates to better putting on the course, it's fun, and you get to brag about it when you do good.
      Doesn't get much better.

        Re: Boomerang Putting Aid

        Hey guys,

I'm glad that you all enjoy the boomerang putting professional. And from what I'm seeing in this post, you are showing some improvement in your putting.

I remember when I first received my boomerang tour (old model with pool table felt) I could not stop putting on it. So I pretty much putted on it for 2 days and eventually brought out my camera to try and break the record. I must have recorded 4 or 5 videos of 14 in a row until I finally got 15.

If you are using the new professional model, you only have to beat the current record of 12. It was 10 a couple months back, and some of you have already tied that one. The hard part is getting it on video.

For those who are attempting to beat the record, I suggest you do not count your in and outs. I usually just check the time on my video after each long run to see if it stacks up with my others. For me a video that was a little over 4 minutes was 15. Also try to have music or tv in the background, It helped me relax and not be stressed by a completely silent atmosphere. In my current video of 12, you can hear my friend in the background watching tv. I didn't even tell her I was taping.

The boomerang has taken my putting to a whole new level in terms of consistency with my stroke. It allows me to practice in my house while I watch golf on tv, listen to music, or play fun games with friends.

I encourage everyone to challenge their own personal best record and film it. Your stroke will get some great practice under pressure and who knows, you could win $1000 in the process like I did. Good luck!

          Re: Boomerang Putting Aid

does anyone know what the specific differences are between the "old" model and the "new" model, other than a significant price difference?

          thanks

            hi all

ok after years of having this boomerang & carnoustie putting mat, tell me how is your putting?
have you really improved on real greens?
is it worth the money, or is it back in the cupboard dusty?

            Cheers

i finally found one at a discount price and bought it. i'm unimpressed.

i think the money is better spent on a laser alignment aid, geoff mangum's putting book, etc.
