I have just been playing two years with a handicap now down to 14.8. I'm asking this question because when I go out by myself I get paired with people who say they are just there "to enjoy being outdoors" and could care less how they play and usually are extremely slow players. I like to shoot good scores everytime I go out regardless if it a practice round alone or with friends or tournament play. I take every round seriously and I think this is why I improved fairly quickly. I just told myself I did not want to be like some people who have played 5 or 10 years with no improvement. If I want to just "enjoy outdoors" I will take my kids to the park not the golf course.
Is anyone else here like this? I really enjoy playing with other golfers who are serious about their game regardless of skill level.
