If you put your ball in a water hazard off the tee on a par three and elect to play your next shot from the teeing ground are you allowed to tee your ball on a tee peg?

Note that while it is your choice, a lot of clubs (mine!) force you to use a tee from all teeing areas.
Unless you actually saw it go into the water you should elect to play a provisional.
Unless you say "This is a provisional" its not and if you go down and find your first its tough.
also, if you play a provo and then go look for your first and find it in a tree, tough, thats the ball in play now.
so if you dont want to find it, DONT LOOK!
(at least until you have played the provo into play)

tbh i kinda agree with it, the tee on a short par 3 can get ruined pretty quickly...Last edited by GreeBoman; 10-10-2005, 01:38 PM.
