  • Ball in water hazard off tee.

If you put your ball in a water hazard off the tee on a par three and elect to play your next shot from the teeing ground are you allowed to tee your ball on a tee peg?

Yes, if you wish to. You don't have to.

Yep, anytime you replay a shot from the tee you can tee-up the ball.
Note that while it is your choice, a lot of clubs (mine!) force you to use a tee from all teeing areas.

Unless you actually saw it go into the water you should elect to play a provisional.
Unless you say "This is a provisional" its not and if you go down and find your first its tough.

also, if you play a provo and then go look for your first and find it in a tree, tough, thats the ball in play now.
so if you dont want to find it, DONT LOOK!
(at least until you have played the provo into play)

Clubs are not allowed to override the Rules of Golf, although I know that it is sometimes difficult to persuade them otherwise. If the club is affiliated to the national organisation you could make a complaint to them.

Yeah, how far do you reckon Id get with that complaint

tbh i kinda agree with it, the tee on a short par 3 can get ruined pretty quickly...

Laura Davies would have problems at your course.

She hits up a small mountain of earth for her driver.
