Hi Folks.
.Tiger Woods won the british open today. He played 4 days of the most accurate golf that i have ever seen. During the four days of the competition he only tee'd off with his driver once.
He knew that he had to find the fairways off the tee if he was to stand any chance of winning and he also knew that he couldn't rely on the accuracey of his driver. He stook to his game plan and never wavered from it, even when he was constantly being out driven by his playing partners.
Those of you who have read my recent threads you will be aware of how i am in favour of leaving the big stick in the bag and concentrate on accuracey.
If the best player in the world can play this way and win a MAJOR, maybe there is a lesson in this for us all.
cheers

I swear i will never witness such single minded, accurate golf that i witnessed this week.
and I carded a 77
even though I did not feel I played all that well. for me my objective, if a hole is tight, is pick a club that will get me inside of 180. Then when the hole is open, I can just bomb away. The people I played with hit only a couple 3 woods and no irons, but their bad course managemnet is good for my financial matters
