There are many postings on this site where people ask for help with what must be the most common problem in golf: AN OUTSIDE TO IN GOLFSWING that causes Slices, Hooks and Shanks. The most common cause must be an Over The Top downswing.
I would like to open a discussion on this problem so that we can generate a collection of ways to resolve it.
Here is one to start with that I once found in an article from Jack Nicklaus:
When you start your downswing imagine that your left shoulder will not move any further back towards the target, this will encourage you to bring your right shoulder down and under your chin thus stopping you from coming OTT.
