  • Club Distances.

I'm a relaive beginner and am interested to know how far people, not just beginners, can hit a well struck iron shot. Say a 7 or 8 iron??

  • #2
    5- 150 yards
    6- 140
    7- 130
    8- 140
    9- 110
    PW- 100

I think those are just a little tiny bit below average. Hope it helps.

Hi there, this is my first post - great site by the way. I'm also a beginner and found this v. interesting - but are we talking where the ball pitches or where it ends up?

Pretty much where it comes to rest....
Id hate to see the rollout from GBs 325 driver...

                    Fraggle,

The group ahead said 310 carry 15 rollout. It was a little wet and cold last Friday. That Nemesis is quite a club. I'll probably set one up the one I used was a demo.

                      Ah I see.
What kind of loft does it give you??

(today a friend misshit with hist driver and lofted the ball a whole 125 yards!. I nearly peed myself laughing!, He laughed even harder when his second tee shot went into the OB area..)

                        Fraggle,

I use a 9* SMT Nemesis driver with an extra stiff Penley ETA shaft. The launch angle is probably about 12*. I practice two things constantly. Right arm at a 90* - 90* and turn with my body. I also turn my left arm and practice folding it against my body and make sure it doesn't separate from the body until after the impact area.

Sounds like you are enjoying this game. Thanks for posting your progress. It's been a good read. Keep us imformed.
