Ok guys and gals of the golfing world, I'm in need of urgent assistance.
I recently discovered that my legendary Orlimar VT830 3 wood (the one with the changeable weights) developed a crack in the face. Not a problem, I thought. I'll buy a new one.
Pah.
It seems that since bringing out the VT830 range in 2003 Orlimar have been bought by King Par and a new set of woods has surfaced from their factories.
In addition, I cannot seem to get hold of a VT830 3 wood with a stiff shaft (either Orlimar or Aldila NVS) in decent condition to save my life.
Because they are (very) old hat it seems that they retail around the $70 (£35) mark from new (plus postage to UK which is normally about $35/£17).
So this is my last chance and I am calling on all good natured golfers around the world (mainly Americans as that's where most Orlimar relics seem to reside!) to scour their local/national golf shops looking for:
Orlimar VT830 3 wood (with or without changeable trajectory cartridges) with a stiff shaft (Orlimar or Aldila NVS) either in new or like new condition with the headcover otherwise I may go nuts - particularly since I recently managed to find and buy the matching 5 wood for £30/$60 brand new here in England, but they've sold out of 3 woods and aren't getting any more!!
Plus, if I don't find one and have to settle for another make (please Lord no) my secret will be out as these woods are by far the hottest thing on the planet and regularly see me keep up with my playing partners drives with a little gentlemans persuader!
HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEELP!!!
