      I dread to think where this thread is going and I'm not sure how it got here but it intrigued me to see that according to www.urbandictionary.com:

      The definition of “chuffage” is smoking pot, marijuana, weed, grass.
      As in “You want to partake in some chuffage?”

      Whereas one* of the definitions of “chaffage” is the burning or irritation of the inner thigh, causing one to walk funny, like someone who has a stick up his ass.
      As in “All this walking is giving me ****ing chaffage”. (And I bet the forum filter censors that one.)

      * There is also (look it up if you don’t believe me) a definition involving male genitalia which I’m not sure I want to think about but which I think not proves my point about preferring a little chuffage but also confirms the need to take care what you offer your friends on a Saturday night instead of a glass of Asda's Morrocan Red.

          Over here, chuff is a verb, synonymous with vomit - I drank too much and chuffed last night. I should have chuffed like they do at urbandictonary.com instead.

          Chuffed also means pumped up or excited - I'm so chuffed to go to the Ryder Cup this year!

            Regarding my delicate and genteel west country upbringing a "Chuff" is more concerned with the female front bottom or genitalia. Thus a good chuffing can in the excess lead to an excessive amount of personal chaffing (If you follow my lead)

              ROFL - In North America it would be poor form to talk about how you were twatting on the course that day; but it would be OK to be chuffed with your girlfriend.

              Quite the opposite across the pond...

                A chuff in Australia is to smoke a bit of pot hmmmm. Been a long time between drinks for this one.

                Anyway is is great to hear that Neil found a replacement - he would be chuffed.
