    Re: grip cleaning advice

A little soap and water, and a nylon brush (a vegetable brush will do nicely). I usually cover the vent hole to avoid water going down the shaft. But I'm paranoid.

            Re: grip cleaning advice

            Hi there Slats,

I clean my grips say every 2 - 3 rounds.

I use warm soapy water. Get a steelo or similar (something that you - oops your wife, would use for cleaning the pots).

Dip the steelo in the water and then scrub the grip. Don't put the grip in the water. Rinse off with cold clean water.

Let them sit over night upside down on a towel. This will prevent any water getting into the shaft.

You'd be amazed with how much gunk comes from the grip and the stickiness after being cleaned.

ps Ben you want be playing too much golf with the new bubs

He's a good baby, and I've got one in school full time, so my afternoons are pretty free!

                Hi slater mate,

Also just to point out becareful with most washing up detergents, as they can make the rubber hard, due to them removing the rubbers natural oils.
The detergent I would use is windscreen wash as this has been formulated to protect rubber items eg wiper blades.

                Cheers
                Mark
