Had a friend show me this one.
When you are at the driving range, take a ball marker and mark your range ball on one of the lines. Set the ball up carefully on the ground so that the line faces your iron in an perfect horizontal position to the ground.
When you strike the ball the mark leaves a line on your iron. if the top of the line is straight up and down, then your lie is fine. if it leans one way or the other then you are either too upright or to flat. Away from too flat, towards you too upright.
Cool hey.... give it a try.
