Quick and easy? I'm glad you didn't say cheap.

Go see a local pro. Take a few lessons and get some sound swing fundamentals.

That's by best tip and hint. Beyond that, remember that everything you read worked for someone - but everything you read won't work for you. Learn your putter - love your putter. Half your shots (or more) will be taken with it, so learn how to judge your weight.

No quick fixes best tip I can offer is get a couple of lessons and get the basics in place - Grip, Stance, Posture, alignment - and always remember to enjoy.

          Ahh ... that's where I'm off ... 'enjoying'.

So I should rejoice at water hazards, out of bounds and 3-putts ... I knew I was missing something

I usually say that "even a bad day at the golf course is a good day at the golf course", but I like your quote even better
