His opening tee shot with driver was unlucky to miss the f/way right, with a bad bounce taking his ball only just into the first cut of rough. Well, I am very happy to say that I won my match play final last Saturday 3&2, and, was only 2 over the card thru 16 holes at the conclusion of the match.
Struck the ball well all day and can say that I only hit 2 or 3 shots during the round that I wasn't happy with.

Over the last 4 weeks, my Club has been competing for our Handicappers Trophy, a knock out match play event. To make the main draw, we play a qualifying stroke round, with the 1st 15 players joining the defending champion in the 16 man seeded draw. Agree Brian, hitting the ball well tee to green(ish) at the moment and know with a little more application and attention to my short game & putting, my scores will drop significantly.
