Okay guys, this offseason I have dedicated myself to 3skills. Since the snow is always piling down on us here - all I have is a net to hit into, but I have felt a big difference.

One of the things that I do differently is I do try not to think about angles of descent into the ball - I have trouble doing this for some reason, and a ball-park angle number doesn't exactly mean anything to me when I'm trying to focus on 'nailing' the ball.

So what I do instead is use the following imagery - it helps me because I prefer hand-eye coordination with visualization.



So as you can see I think I tend to 'hit' farther out towards the right, and since I'm using the net - I can't exactly see ball flight. My question is for when the weather does clear up and I can go to the range - are the placement of my "X"s correct?

They all need moving up a notch to me. Move the driver to the balls equator then the other two by the same amount.

played a society comp yesterday at garstang, the course was very wet with lots of standing water.
ball striking was very good, scored 31 points could have been a lot more if id got the hang of the greens which were poor in quality and very slow.

anyhow i bagged the longest drive award and cooked the fish i caught on the 5th fairway

44 back in...............shoddy.

A couple more safer shots in and your in the 70s.....................roll on spring.

P.S shot a two over sunday in the rain and wind, proper greens but temp tees, worse thing is I bogeyed 17 and 18...........after 3 birdies and three bogeys during the first 16.

44 is shoddy but its hard going when are thoroughly p*ss wet through and freezing cold
also had a 75 and 78 round our par67 winter layout

everything came together today
played heaton park manchester, a tough course at the best of times made tougher by the cold wet weather.
anyhow the 3skills helped me to card a gross 81, 37 out 44 in.

Missed this Slats,

I think A J Boner has a completely different profession to A J Bonar Bri!

I'd be very interested in reading a copy of A J Boner's book. I bet it's got some great pictures.
